Camp Madron History
- 1900 - Madron family established a farm on NW corner of current Camp property
- 1908 - Boy Scouts of America was founded
- 1926 - Original 27.7 acres was purchased by Fred Upton
- 1928 - Camp Madron officially opens as a summer camp for Boy Scouts
- 1930 - Lodge burned down due to accidental fire
- 1931 - Lodge was rebuilt
- 1938 - Additional 61 acres were donated by L. C. Upton
- 1944 - Start of Madron Lake Subdivision Lots purchased (Farmhouse area)
- 1955 - Purchase of property north of Madron Lake, including Farmhouse
- 1976 - Last summer as long-term camp
- 1985 - Logger bought camp from Boy Scouts
- 1989 - Madron Association founded for Camp Madron Development (Info on development on Wheeler Kearns architect site)
